![]() Pre-orders of the game also come with special bonuses – in Europe, players can get a steelbook and figure of Groudon/Kyogre, depending on the version, as well as a Torchic keychain. Many players, old and new, have expressed interest in these remakes, and from all the new features, it looks like we won’t be disappointed. Promo art for the new Delta Episode, with the new “fate of the world” character ZinniaĪs of today, Generation Six of Pokemon is looking pretty bright. Team Magma/Aqua (depending on your game) also try to steal special stones to help Pokemon Mega Evolve from trainers, and Deoxys and Rayquaza also both appear in some form. ![]() Not much is known yet, but the episode is focused on a new character called Zinnia, as the player must stop a giant asteroid from destroying Hoenn. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will also introduce a new Delta Episode, that explains the cause of Mega Evolutions. What a mirage spot will look like in the air As of now, between ORAS and X/Y, it is possible to obtain every Legendary Pokemon to date. Alongside a Mega Evolved Latios/Latias (depending on which version) and the Eon Flute, the player can fly up in the clouds and hunt for Mirage Spots, special areas where Legendary Pokemon appear. Pokemon ORAS also addresses a big problem many have had within their Pokemon adventures – legendary hunting, through Mirage Spots. But other elements of X and Y have newly added parts – Horde Encounters now expand to Trainer Horde Battles, and new Mega Evolutions for older Pokemon, which includes Sceptile and Swampert, the final evolution of the starter Pokemon, as well as Diancie, Sableye, Metagross, Altaria, Lopunny, Salamence, Slowbro, and Audino. The Plus will feature such functions like the DexNav (replaces the PokeDex), AreaNav (your map, as well as Pokemon tracking and Berry areas), BuzzNav (news from around the Hoenn region), and PlayNav (used for online play, as well as storing Pokemon Amie, Super Training, and assumably, Wonder Trade). Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire also brings back Pokemon Amie, the feature in which a player can pet, play games, and feed their Pokemon, as well as Super Training, a feature that increases Pokemon IVs, but also brings with it a new place where they can be found – the PokeNav Plus, which is the new bottom screen. The player also gets a special Pikachu for competing in such contests, with the Pikachu being able to change into five costumes for the five contests, respectively, as well as gaining a special move. In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, in the performance round, a Trainer can Mega Evolve their Pokemon to increase the crowd’s excitement. There are five different rounds, and at the end, the winning Pokemon is awarded a ribbon. Contests are assumed to operate the same way as they did before – with players picking a Pokemon to compete in a Contest (difficulty ranging from Normal, Super, Hyper, and Master Contests, with five different categories – Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Smartness, or Toughness). Pokemon Contests also come back under the name of Pokemon Contest Spectacular. Secret Pals also return, giving the player the ability to battle other trainers in their own Bases, as well as bring those trainers back to their Base, making them the player’s Secret Pals. Secret Pals can either battle or assist the player. These all new Bases introduce a number of new features, of which include sharing secret bases through QR codes online, a flag collection game (reminiscent of the Underground from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl), and the chance to create a custom Pokemon Gym. Secret Bases, originally introduced in Ruby and Sapphire, were removed from Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, and never seen since then. Returning elements include Super Secret Bases and Contests, along with Pokemon Amie from Pokemon X and Y. They are full remakes of the 2003 games Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and bring back both old and new elements of the Pokemon series, some bits which haven’t been seen since 2009’s Pokemon Platinum! The next games in the Pokemon series, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, are due to be released November 21st in the United States and Japan and November 28th in Europe.
